music is where interaction starts
and our work begins
In order to make this happen, we looked for a long time for a suitable studio that, on the one hand, uses old recording technology and, on the other hand, the chemistry between the studio team and the band must be right. Our expectations were exceeded with the Black Shack Studio and Ray, that’s what you can really say afterwards.
The maturity of our band is clear to hear on this album and Ray could understand our style straight away.

“This was our second session at the Black Shack Recordings and since the last time it has improved a lot! The studio is in a bigger room so there is more space and the sound is much better too! Along with the top notch vintage equipment it is the right choice if you want to get that great warm sound. Ray is very talented and patient engineer and a producer to work with and he can really push the songs in the right direction. We are very happy with the results and are looking forward to coming back to the Black Shack!”

“Black Shack Recordings is the perfect studio for our sound for lots of reasons. First of all there is a producer with patience, professionalism and great feeling for the music. Secondly there is vintage equipment that produces the best possible sound for bands like us. And then the atmosphere and the people who work for and around the studio gave us a great time in the black forest and we will go there any time soon.”
(Black Patti, Rhythm Bomb Records)
“It was a track by Ian Bowerman aka Dollar Bill that led me to the beautifully retro tech Black Shack Recordings and their mad scientist genius Rawand Baziany, who ensured this album sounds as great as it does.”
(Oliver Baroni, The Hillbilly Moon Explosion)

UPCOMING
SESSIONS
A session at Black Shack Recordings is not comparable to recording in a conventional space. Here we strive to accompany our artists, beginning from the choice and development of their ideas, until the final touches, that are needed to produce a top notch record.
